We are going away on a family trip, ten of us travelling together. The problem? It’s MAY.
Nothing was going on in my garden for weeks. Then suddenly, here is what’s happening.

The lilacs are just beginning to open, their perfume is wonderful.

The beautiful azalea bush, this one did really well. I have several in various colours.

This is rose geranium. It grows to about 2 1/2 feet tall and makes a wonderful border for the flower beds. The flowers are tiny, cute but hardly noticeable. But the leaves smell wonderful, I pick a ton and dry them each year, then use them in small cloth pouches for the towel cupboard.

But last of all, the Japanese tree peony is just opening. They are beautiful, I also have a white one, and the perfume is to die for. But they are just beginning to open. I’ll be gone before they are fully open. I hereby declare, I am never leaving home in May ever again!!!
