5 Stars- Like watching a movie- Ms. Grayson writes so well that I feel like I am watching everyone as the action takes place! The scenes are detailed and the characters are so descriptive that I almost feel like I know these people and have shared time with them. There is some great action and romance to warm everyone up while enjoying this read on a cold day. I have read several books by Ms. Grayson , from romance and mystery through science fiction in the Khandarken Last War series, and have loved them all. I so look forward to reading her next books as she writes from the wonderful West coast.

 

Snow has arrived

The snow has finally arrived, and winter is officially here on the Wet Coast. I know it doesn’t look like much white stuff compared to what you have been putting up with, but right now it is coming down in a clear fall. Will it block the drive? Not too likely. All our vehicles are 4 x wheel drive, this is Canada after all so we can get through most any kind of dump, unless the rain washes the driveway out. It is only -3 here, we have the wood fireplace going and it’s very cosy. I love that fireplace. We also have a gas one, and it works well, but there’s nothing like a wood burner.

Just got home from the World Outlook Conference in Vancouver.  What is the world outlook these days? Lots of upheaval and uncertainty. A bear market is on its way but not quite yet, according to most of the speakers. That’s good news, right?

Sylvie’s Shrimp Dip recipe

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all you readers out there.  I wish you a fabulous year in 2019. Stay warm, stay dry, keep reading!

I have a recipe for you. I make this for the holidays every year and the family always gathers round to test it out.

Sylvie’s Shrimp Dip

Place in food processor-

1 small package of cream cheese

3 T onion

1/3 c mayonnaise

1 T lemon juice

1 t dill weed

½ t. sugar

2 T horseradish

1 T. Dijon mustard

¼ t. tobasco sauce

Chop finely.

Add 1 # shrimp, chop lightly. Serve with crackers

Store in fridge. Always best the next day.
